The Me I Don’t Like, As Much (Redux)

Hop on over to Stories That Must Not Die to lend some support to (Don) BroJo this weekend.
And, if you have a story that you’d like to share on STMND, please send it along to storiesthatmustnotdie at gmail dot com, or you can email me directly at djmatticus at yahoo dot com. We’d love to hear from you. We’d love to feature you in this wonderful community.

Stories that Must Not Die

This post was originally shared on Brother Jon’s Page, nearly two years ago. It’s nice to go back every so often and reflect on how our lives have changed, even in just a span of two years. Things are getting better, everyday. I believe daily reflection is important for us all. In the past we can find many, many things for us to learn from. But, it is also important for us to not get stuck in the past. Author John Green once wrote* “Imagining the future is a kind of nostalgia.” Nostalgia, by definition, is a longing for the past. This quote turns it around and helps show the importance of looking forward in our lives. Or, you can just ask what Dory would do. Just Keep Swimming.

Rara Update

She has moved, again, though not very far this time… and she will probably be moving again shortly.  But, she could use some RawrLove sent her way.  So, if you can, please send off a letter (or two) in the next couple days:

Radhika Jaini, WF0124
CCWF 513-8A-1up
PO Box 1508
Chowchilla, CA  93610-1508

Let her know she is still loved.  Let her know that broken hearts can be mended.  Let her know about all the positive energy and thoughts we are constantly sending her direction.

Comments for Rara

Hey all,

Zoe and I decided that it would be awesome to collect a bunch of comments, notes, thoughts, etc… from all of you and see about getting them to Rara in the next couple days.

So, leave whatever you want to say in the comment section and we’ll make sure it gets to her.

(And don’t forget to click on the rawrLove link in my sidebar if you haven’t already.)

(And, if you’d rather not have your comments be public, you can email them to me at djmatticus at yahoo dot com.)

Remember, chances are, she loves all of you, without question, without qualification, without reserve.

How do you feel about her?

Spread some rawrLove of your own.

but I say them anyway

The ideas bounce and spin and the words skip along,
One will catch for a moment like a verse from a song,
And then twist and change and be slightly wrong.

Not what I meant to say,
Not the right words,
At least,
Not today.

I reach out hoping to grasp something silly,
A joke or story of unicorns that are frilly,
They elude as my movements are not done agilely.

Screaming and cursing at my down-trodden fate,
Unable to force an idea, the morning grows late,
My muse steps in and guides me from the hate.

Her guiding hand shows me an easier path to walk,
Not considered before due to its overgrowth and rocks,
It was all a ruse to make the weak-willed balk.

Not what I meant to say,
Not the right words,
At least,
Not today.

But I say them anyway.

Getting the Stuph treatment

Or… something like that.

Hey all, did you notice the big change?  The banner and theme change and total layout reconfiguration are all the work of the one and only Twindaddy.

Very nice, right?  Do you concur, like a … well, you know.  No?  Maybe?  I’d love to hear what you think about it, and of course, you should definitely jump over and say hello to Twindaddy as well.

And, there might be a few more changes to the look and flow of the kingdom today, if my head can ever release itself from the cold medicine fog its been in the last couple days, as I play around with settings and other such stuph.

One last thing: start the imperial march song in your head, or actually play it if you have it readily available, and link drop:

Boom BoomBoom!
