Halfway through… Halfway through.  You did it!  I did it!  We’ve reached this milestone together.  A month of posting every day.

So, I know I haven’t been the best at going out and reading everything you’ve written, but if you are reading this, and you leave me a link or two in the comments, I will go out and read those things.  That’s an official Matticus promise.

And really, if you can’t trust the Jester of the Matticus Kingdom, who can you trust?

A Jesterly Challenge to Challenge the Jester

The writer, the scribe, the teller of tales, the spinner of magic, the Belle in a box?  Perhaps.

Last week, in response to a post called Wandering Spirits, an idea occurred to me while responding to the very nice comment left by Aul, aka Dominic.  The basic premise is: can you stump me?

November is nearly upon us, and that means Nano Poblano madness.  I hadn’t thought it possible for me to post every day next month as part of those festivities, but… what if you all sent me prompts?  Maybe then, if I had enough time to write and schedule ahead of time, I could actually participate.

The gauntlet has been thrown:  Is there anything I can’t write about?  Let’s find out.  In the comments leave a topic and a style that you either want me to tackle because you’d like to see what I come up with, or that you think I’ll struggle with and want to laugh at what I come up with.

Examples:  Magic / Poem, Politics / Haiku, Astrophysics / Flash Fiction, and so on and so forth.

Comments left first will be answered first.  First comment will be answered on November 1st, Second on the 2nd, etc…

Have fun with it.  Leave me a challenge.  Leave me something silly.  Leave me whatever you fancy.  And I’ll turn it into a post, and hopefully we’ll all have a bit of fun.  Sound good?

Let’s begin.

Comments for Rara

Hey all,

Zoe and I decided that it would be awesome to collect a bunch of comments, notes, thoughts, etc… from all of you and see about getting them to Rara in the next couple days.

So, leave whatever you want to say in the comment section and we’ll make sure it gets to her.

(And don’t forget to click on the rawrLove link in my sidebar if you haven’t already.)

(And, if you’d rather not have your comments be public, you can email them to me at djmatticus at yahoo dot com.)

Remember, chances are, she loves all of you, without question, without qualification, without reserve.

How do you feel about her?

Spread some rawrLove of your own.

I’m a fool, too

How much longer can we continue to function as the divide between our two halves grows exponentially?  Finger pointing.  Name calling.  Ostracizing.  Claiming we all want to be more united, but judging each other so harshly in the process that we become hypocrites in words and actions.

Hypocrites and fools.

I shake my head at the lot of us.

Because your words confuse and hurt me and my first instinct is to hurt you back.  I want to find the stats that refute the ones you threw in my face.  I want to argue my beliefs and values that run counter to yours.  I want to pull you from your pedestal, from your pulpit, from your soap box and leave you confused and hurting on the ground.

Then what?

Would that solve anything?

So, when you post your political rants,  your blues are wingnuts diatribes, your reds are morons ventings, I won’t be liking, I won’t be commenting.  I’m not going to add my foolish voice to yours.  It’s loud enough in here already.

And you, dear kingdomites?

Do you like reading political posts?  Do you like jumping into the fray and arguing your side of the debate?  Or, have you grown tired of the fighting too?
