Do you Kindle?

Other potential titles for this post:

I’m freaking out.

Wow.

I can’t believe it.

The world didn’t end.

Fauxpocalypse madness.

And

I’ve been published.

…………………………………………………………

A group of fellow WordPressers got together awhile ago and started working on an anthology.  That work is now complete, and the Kindle version is up and ready for purchase/enjoyment:

Fauxpocalypse

fauxpocalypse cover

Basic Premise:

Life on Earth is predicted to end on 15 July 2015. But the oncoming megatons of rock and ice break up shortly before impact. Now humanity must live in a world most believed would not exist. Across the planet, people are haunted by the future they did not fear, and even those who did not embrace death must face the consequences of others’ decisions.

A collection of twelve stories about rebuilding hope.

…………………………………………………………

Reviews on Goodreads would be much appreciated.  (Click the link to take you directly to the page for the book.)

Here is the link to the Kindle version on Amazon.

And here is the link to it on Smashwords as well.

…………………………………………………………

Each of the twelve stories is told with a different voice, a different perspective, and they are all wonderful.  Some are darker than others, but there is underlying theme of hope that comes through as you are reading them.

It was a talented group, and we’d all appreciate the wonderful support of the kingdom as we launch this book.  This is the first publication for most of the authors on the project.

I’ll keep you all posted for print copies as soon as they are available.  And, I’m planning on doing giveaways and contests here on the kingdom too.  So, stay tuned, but until then, happy reading!

  1. I’m buying it right now! THAT’S AMAZING!! *Does cartwheel in your honor while throwing confetti*

While I’m buying the Kindle version, I expect a signed copy when it comes out in print 🙂

    • Thanks for the happy dance.

I feel pretty lucky to have stumbled into this opportunity. Misha Burnett came up with the idea and if I hadn’t happened upon his post at the right time on the right day I probably wouldn’t be a part of this anthology. So, keep your eyes peeled, because the right opportunity for you could be the very next post you look at. 😀

  2. YAY!!!!!!!!!!
This makes me so happy!!! But wait – I want a copy signed by all of you (hahaha) –
I’m not a kindler – I tried; I just love the way a book feels in my hand. For me, it can’t be duplicated electronically (yet). But I can’t WAIT to read this! Congrats, DJMatt! You so deserve this!

    • 😀
I’m very fond of a book in hand too. However, there have been instances where it’s nice to be able to hold a sleeping baby in one arm and read on the Kindle in the other without needing the second hand to turn pages.

Copies signed by all of us is going to be a challenge. I know at least one of us is in England somewhere, and another one is in Australia… the book would be well travelled to get all of our signatures. I do love the idea though… and as we hash out our promotional tactics I may bring up doing just that with a couple books to giveaway in a contest of some sort…

Thank you, as always, for the kind words for my writing. The great support of gotten from the entire blogosphere community was one of the reasons I thought I could be a part of this anthology and potentiall publish some of the other things I’m working on. So, again, thank you. 😀

    • I think you can get various other ebook versions through Smashwords. Right? (I’m not all that familiar with all the different formats.) Otherwise, the print version should be available in a couple weeks. 😀

      • Thank you!

Yeah, all the various book sites are still mostly new to me as well. I think I’m going to learn more about than in the next couple weeks than I ever though I’d need to know.

    • I’ll let you know when the print versions are available. Also, if you have an iPad or similar device I think you can either get the kindle app, or you have the option to download the correct format of ebook to work with your gadget.
We haven’t set any sales records yet. 😉 But, it is still early.
