The wife and her husband,
Newlyweds,
Needed something to take them across the land,
They bought their first car together,
Shiny,
It served them well on every adventure.
……….
The wife and her husband,
Thieves,
Many and many more a heist they had planned,
They stole their first car together,
Still,
It never made their lives better.
……….
The wife and her husband,
Homeless,
Not the life to which they’d been accustomed,
They lived in their first car together,
Sheltered,
It kept them safe from the weather.
Hmmm, which are you? My car is two years younger than my son. 1983 Mercedes 300 SD. Hubs loves it, I think it’s a tank.
We bought our first new car (a Subaru Forester), the first new car either of us have ever purchased, after we’d been married for 2 years.
I really liked this!
Awesome! Always happy to hear when something I’ve written is enjoyed. 🙂 Thanks for reading and commenting.

i like this piece and the different roads it took )
Thanks!
I was originally planning on doing – newlyweds getting the car, then passing it to their children, then it sitting alone in a junk yard rusting away to nothing… but, decided to go this route instead. I think it was more what the prompt was looking for.
