“Good people, I missed my introduction. But please… Please I pray you, hear it now, for I would lay rest the grace in my tongue and speak plainly. Days like these are far too rare to cheapen with heavy handed words, and so, I’m afraid without any ado whatsoever… Here she is, one of your own…” Rarasaur!
Today I want to talk about something that, I think, will have a very big impact upon your life — true love.
The first thing you need to know is that there is a very fine line between love and nausea. I warn you, dear child, not to frighten you, but to teach you to surrender. The beginning is exciting, but it is everything that comes after that makes it worth it.
You see, at the beginning, it’s all so magical — but you must also remember that a beginning is a very delicate time. It is the time where you learn that everything you see exists together in a delicate balance , and where you begin to understand the true meaning of sacrifice.
It can be a challenge, but for the sake of all that we ourselves hold dear, it is unthinkable that we should refuse to meet the challenge.
The flaws of your true love? Well, you learn to love ’em.
And those challenges? Well, it’s nothing a good meal won’t solve.
You might find yourself sidetracked by the question of whether or not there is such a thing as true love. Even right now, you might find yourself riddled with questions:
“How can you be certain to find them? And if you do find them, are they really the one for you or do you only think they are? And what happens if the person you’re supposed to be with never appears, or, or they do, but you’re too distracted to notice? Then let’s say God puts two people on Earth and they are lucky enough to find one another. But one of them gets hit by lightning. Well then what? Is that it? Or, perchance, you meet someone new and marry all over again. Is that the one you’re supposed to be with or was it the first? And if so, when the two of them were walking side by side were they both the one for you and you just happened to meet the first one first or, was the second one supposed to be first? And is everything just chance or are some things meant to be?”
Oh my dear child, you make it so difficult sometimes.
For now, let’s just stick to what we see, what we know, and the wondrously complex self-supplied definition of love that you hold in your heart. Maybe it does exist, maybe it doesn’t. Maybe you have it now, maybe you don’t. But if it feels like love, and if you cherish as you would cherish true love, then surrender to it, and most importantly– let yourself be loved.
