“Good people, I missed my introduction. But please… Please I pray you, hear it now, for I would lay rest the grace in my tongue and speak plainly. Days like these are far too rare to cheapen with heavy handed words, and so, I’m afraid without any ado whatsoever… Here she is, one of your own…” [16]Β Rarasaur!
……….
Today I want to talk about something that, I think, will have a very big impact upon your life [1] — true love.
The first thing you need to know is that there is a very fine line between love and nausea. [2] I warn you, dear child, [3] not to frighten you, but to teach you to surrender. [4] The beginning is exciting, but it is everything that comes after that makes it worth it.
You see, at the beginning, it’s all so magical [5] — but you must also remember that a beginning is a very delicate time. [6] It is the time where you learn that everything you see exists together in a delicate balance [7], and where you begin to understand the true meaning of sacrifice. [8]
It can be a challenge, but for the sake of all that we ourselves hold dear, it is unthinkable that we should refuse to meet the challenge. [9]
The flaws of your true love? Well, you learn to love ’em. [10]
And those challenges? Well, it’s nothing a good meal won’t solve. [11]
You might find yourself sidetracked by the question of whether or not there is such a thing as true love. Even right now, you might find yourself riddled with questions:
“How can you be certain to find them? And if you do find them, are they really the one for you or do you only think they are? And what happens if the person you’re supposed to be with never appears, or, or they do, but you’re too distracted to notice? Then let’s say God puts two people on Earth and they are lucky enough to find one another. But one of them gets hit by lightning. Well then what? Is that it? Or, perchance, you meet someone new and marry all over again. Is that the one you’re supposed to be with or was it the first? And if so, when the two of them were walking side by side were they both the one for you and you just happened to meet the first one first or, was the second one supposed to be first? And is everything just chance or are some things meant to be?” [12]
Oh my dear child, you make it so difficult sometimes. [13]
For now, let’s just stick to what we see, [14] what we know, and the wondrously complex self-supplied definition of love that you hold in your heart. Maybe it does exist, maybe it doesn’t. Maybe you have it now, maybe you don’t. But if it feels like love, and if you cherish as you would cherish true love, then surrender to it, and most importantly– let yourself be loved.
After all, what else is there? [15]
1- The Princess Diaries, Queen Clarisse Renaldi
2- Coming to America, King Jaffe Joffer
3- Alice in Wonderland, Queen of Hearts
4- The Princess Bride, Prince Humperdinck
5- Aladdin, Princess Jasmine
6- Dune, Princess Irulan
7- The Lion King, Mufasa
8- Chronicles of Narnia, Aslan
9- The King’s Speech, King Geroge VI
10- The Lion King, Simba

Narnia!
That’s all I have to say.
I was pretty excited to be able to get a Narnia reference in there. π Thanks for reading, Jenn!
π My pleasure. I frequent both your blogs.
Also–my bedtime story post is up.
Very clever, Rawra!
π Thanks, TD. I’ve written a post like this before, but restricting it to just royalty (in honor of the Kingdom) was harder than I thought, so hurrah for it coming together fairly well!
It really did. Good job!
love is great. love is love
I knew you’d get it. π Meow!
Meow right back at you! π
So much awesomeness. I feel like I am witnessing the wonder twins or something here. Rara is in the kingdom and she is using movie quotes to write a story about true love? Is this heaven? I am not sure about that but is made my day anyway! Thank you dynamic duo, Matt it was similar to Friday, but with a Monday sort of vibe. Well done Rara and Matt, the Wonder Twins of blogging. π
Together, we form Mattara! Mattasaur? Ratticus? Well, we’ll work on the catchy hybrid name later, I guess… for now… much thanks, Jon. π I’m glad you enjoyed it!
π
Um… I’m going to go ahead and veto Ratticus… But, Rara should definitly get top billing… How about Rarster? (Rara + Jester = Rarster)
Haha, yes, Ratticus does sound like a Batman villain. π I like Rarster! Though Mattara also has a Gozilla sound to it that I like…
I rolled Mattara around my tongue a few times, don’t get me wrong, but something about Rarster just rings truer. π
Rarster it is! π … Aren’t we in the same timezone? π Is the little Prince keeping you up? π
We are, yes. And he is, yes, every 2 – 3 hours. π
Reblogged this on cftc10.
Thanks for the reblog! π
I loved all the books in the Chronicles of Narnia. It was my favorite book as a child. Yet even now, when someone asks, “What is your Favorite book?”, all the pops into my head is Narnia
A Christian Allegory
http://melaniejeanjuneau.wordpress.com/2013/03/21/bedtime-stories/
They’re still amongst my favorite books! π Thanks for reading, and for the link! π
my pleasure, I enjoyed your article
This was brilliant, I loved it!
Thank you, Steph!! π
This was brilliant! Oh crap! Someone else said that already…okay…this was fantabulous, amazing and awesome! π
I love the word fantabulous! π Thank you!
” My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth” [17]
17 – 1 John 3:18 (King James Version)
Beautifully appropriate! And king-related no less! π Thanks for reading and contributing! π
Dearest Rara,
“I never wanted 2 be your weekend lover
I only wanted 2 be some kind of friend
Baby I could never steal u from another”
“I would Die 4 U”
Love,
Prince
Haha! Yay! More thoughts on love from royalty… sort of, π But I guess if I counted Barbarella, Prince certainly counts, too. π *hugs* Thanks for reading and contributing, Kozo!
Since I’m on a break – naturally I’ve had the chance to catch up on a few things. Here you are – you’ve been tagged! Go here to see the break down: http://knowledgeknut.wordpress.com/2013/03/25/ive-been-tagged-by-utesmile/
Thanks for the tag.
Actually love this blog! C’est perfect π You should write more like this!
Maddi x
π Thank you! I did it once before, actually, for a Daily Prompt… http://rarasaur.wordpress.com/2012/11/21/the-show-has-been-cancelled-but-the-adventure-is-just-beginning/ I like the style, too, but it takes more energy that it seems, haha! π
Yes I can imagine it does take rather a lot of effort! Worth it though π
“…Then I would love you in any way I could. And if we could not touch, then I would draw strength from your beauty. And if I went blind, then I would fill my soul with the sound of your voice and the contents of your thoughts until the last spark of my love for you lit the shabby darkness of my dying mind.”
Pushing Daisies: Season 1, Episode 8 (28 Nov. 2007)
I loved that show!!! π And that quote is well, gorgeous. Can quotes be gorgeous? π
If we start a petition, do you think we could bring the Pie Man back? Somehow Family Guy came back after being cancelled… it could work again, couldn’t it?!
Have you watched ‘The Princess Bride’?
A million and a half times. π It’s probably my all time favorite movie, but you know how I am about favorites… fickle and overly specific. π Still, it’s at least in the top 4.
π That reminds me, I’m not sure if i put it in my top 25 (and growing) movies of all time….
Way to go, Rara! I’d never have been able to remember some of these lines, much less make sure that they came from royalty and have them makes sense together. Meow on love!
π Thank you!! I was pretty happy that it all worked out! π
“Something brought you here, Flynn Rider. Call it what you will… fate… destiny…”
“A horse.” (or a magical Rarasaur!)
Come on, now. Rapunzel IS the lost Princess in ‘Tangled.’ Sorry, I have little people that live in my house, we do a lot of Disney! π
I’m one of 6 kids… 27 godkids, 7 nieces, and 3 nephews… yep, there’s a lot of Disney at my house, too, haha. π I had to think outside the Disney box for this one, since so many of my favorite quotes are Disney ones. Several came out Disney anyway, though. π I completely forgot about Rapunzel, though! Thanks for the reminder of the quote, and for reading! π
Rawr rawr! great post rawra!! And Matt’s genius too. Glad i click-clicked my way here!! π
Thanks, Rawra. π (Haha, I love the shared nickname. π ) Yes, Matt is a genius– you’ll love your time in the Matticus Kingdom!
This was such a nice post. π Soooo sweet. β€
Thank you, m’lady! π
I loved it! Plus love is one of my favourite things in the world. What’s not to love about love? π
There’s not a thing that isn’t loveable about love, that’s what. π Yay for love! Thanks for stopping by, Anne– and for reading!!
I loved how you integrated all these quotes in your post. Really clever. =D
Also, I remembered the quote from Swan Princess pretty clearly… mostly because I wanted to smack Prince Derek when he said it, haha.
Haha! I love that scene after where the other guy is like, “What else IS there? She says, ‘Is beauty all that matters?’ and YOU say, ‘What else is there?’ … You should write a book– How to Offend Women in 4 words or less!” To this day, it cracks me up. π Glad you enjoyed the reference! π
Awesome post!
π Thank you!!
Yes, love her too! But, your highness, they are all love stories! Even Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, the Marvel Super Heroes, Inception, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained. All is fair in love!
It’s true. In one way or another, every story is a love story. π
