Here we go again.

Today’s Daily Prompt, Hindsight, asks us to rewrite our very first post.  Since I’ve only been blogging now for 4 months I’m not sure how much my writing has grown, or how much different my blog as become in the past 125 days.  However, this is my 100th post on WordPress and it somehow seems fitting to go back to the beginning for such a milestone.

For reference, this was my first blog post ever: August 1, 2012: Here we go.

This is not a test because I’m certain I’m really going to enjoy this outlet, this arena, this whole blogging thing in this whole blogosphere.

And, if you can’t get enough of me on here, you can also follow along with my madness on twitter @matticusdj if you are into that sort of self-punishing behavior.  Sorry about selling myself there, but it couldn’t be helped.

Anyway, back to some specifics (as specific as I can be): I’ll probably post here on a fairly regular basis.  It may not be every day but sometimes I will post more than once a day depending on what all is going on.  My blog will cover a variety of topics from football (soccer) stories and review to some of my writing segments to my various commuter lifestyle experiences, to the occasional rant, and to a poem or two for good measure.

I’d really like to be able to make a living doing this writing thing and I’m hoping this blog will be a good platform to learn and grow as a writer, test my abilities, and build up a following.  Though, I’m not sure who would be silly enough to actually enjoy anything I write.

But, if you take that plunge and click the follow button, I promise that I do everything I can to make the matticus kingdom an adventure!

Thank you to everyone who has followed me, encouraged me, commented on something I’ve written, provided feedback, liked one of my posts, etc…  I really had no idea what I was getting into when I first posted back on August 1st.  I wouldn’t have believed at that time that I’d have almost 200 followers in four months, I would have posted 100 times, and I would have written the first draft of a novel and shared it all on here during NaNoWriMo.

I’ve really enjoyed this experience so far and it truly has been an adventure.
